BetterSave isn't in Instagram's share sheet

In Instagram, tap the paper plane on a reel, then Share to… and scroll the row of apps to the end. Tap More, turn on BetterSave, and drag it up if you want it near the front. BetterSave also accepts links pasted into the Add tab.

A post says "Couldn't fetch"

Three common reasons:

• The account is private. BetterSave only works with public posts, even for accounts you follow.
• Instagram is rate limiting. Wait a few minutes and use Retry in the post's menu.
• Instagram changed its site. The post stays in your library as pending; update BetterSave when a new version is out and it will retry.

The song is wrong or missing

Open the post, tap the menu next to the song and choose Identify with Shazam to try again, or Edit manually. Reels with speech over quiet music are the ones Shazam struggles with.

BetterSave Pro

• Restoring a purchase. Settings ▸ Restore purchases. Sign in with the same Apple Account you bought it with.
• Cancelling the monthly plan. iPhone Settings ▸ your name ▸ Subscriptions ▸ BetterSave. Your library is not affected.
• Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Moving to a new iPhone

Restore the new phone from a backup of the old one and the library comes with it. There is no separate export yet.
